AUT Student Team Wins Maurice Fadel Prize

Win_StudentTwo students from Tripoli campus Rashad Baroudi (Faculty of Business- MBA program) and Nazih Fino (Faculty of Applied Sciences- Computer Science department) won the Maurice Fadel Competition 2012. This competition, organized by the Maurice Fadel Foundation, is a replica of the MIT Arab Business Plan competition and involves young students from the North who can devise the best business plan for a project that can be beneficial to the North.

Baroudi and Fino won by submitting a business plan for a company they called Greenways which is into waste management and recycling and their project was voted the best together with another plan presented by another team and so the 50 million Lebanese pounds prize was split among the 2 teams.

Our team received their check on May 10 during a widely publicized ceremony at Rashid Karame Fair Grounds.

A big  round of applause to our students who have told us how proud they are to be part of the AUT community!
