AUT Halat Campus Expansion Phase II Kicks In


Work has started to complete the Agora building on Halat campus. EMC group has been assigned to undertake all construction work and the three floors that remain to be built will be completed in three months whereas finishing will be done by September 2015. Each floor occupies an area of 1,000sqm.

In addition to the three floors, AUT will see the amphitheater-style stairs at the front and at the back of Agora completed as well. Landscaping of over 10,000sqm are also included in Phase II


Dr Pieter van der Zaag from UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education in Delft, The Netherlands Joins AUT Board of Advisors

vanderzaag 2web  AUT is happy to welcome one of the world's most renown authorities in Water Resources, Dr Pieter van der Zaag on its Board of Advisors.

Dr van der Zaag is a professor of integrated water resources management at the UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education in Delft, The Netherlands. He also holds a professorship at Delft University of Technology. He chairs the Water
Management Group, and is also Head of the Department of Integrated Water Systems and Governance.

He joins AUT BoG as part of the initiative that promotes collaboration between AUT and UNESCO-IHE in the program of Water Resource Sciences. Collaboration also entails offering internships for AUT students at Delft, exchange of faculty,
offering graduate studies for AUT students, conducting joint research in Lebanon and the Middle East.

Students who wish to join AUT in Fall 2014 are welcome to visit our Admissions offices in all campuses: Halat, Tripoli, Kosba and Tyre.

In Halat campus, head to the Admission Office located in the Dr Antoine and Aline Hinain Wing on the third floor of the Agora Building.

If you live in the Tripoli area, ask our Admission officers about the summer term special offer for new students.

Placement exams are administered throughout the month of August and scholarships for selected majors are available, just ask our officers.

AUT Students in Paphos for the summer residency with Empire State College

Seven students from AUT shared the residency organized by SUNY Empire State College in Paphos, Cyprus from July 20 to 25. The residency included attending lectures in the courses that students enrolled in, and sharing their views on peace in a 2-hour discussion with a Cypriot lecturer and also performing in the Chalk The Walk art event on Paphos harbor.
