Preparing For An Internet Future That Is Already Here: The Internet of Things at AUT

The Department of Computer Science in the Faculty of Applied Sciences at AUT hosted a workshop on the Internet of Things on March 4th, 2016.

Attendees were exposed to new technologies that are transforming the way we live, work and interact with each other. Marc Khayat, Cisco Technical Manager for the TMENA made a stimulating presentation about how the Internet of Everything is changing how people, processes, data, and things connect to make amazing things possible.

AUT students then participated in a workshop to experience hands-on the management of new technology applications and were guided on how to take advantage of this promising future and prepare for exciting careers ahead.
