AUT Hosts First Digital Transformation Symposium in the Middle East


Over 25 specialists in digital transformation in various sectors of the economy shared their experience and spoke of the challenges facing digital transformation in the Arab economies through debate panels and keynote addresses over 3 days – April 15 - 16 - 17 at AUT .

Knowledge Practices International-KPI- and AUT teamed up to offer this symposium to the Lebanese entrepreneurs and senior officers of major companies. Minister of Economy and Trade Dr Alain Hakim placed this vent under his auspices and delegated advisor Jean Tawileh to represent him. In his address Mr Tawileh underlined the steps taken by Minister Hakim to modernize existing laws and propose new ones that would favor entrepreneurship especially in the digital business. Tawileh conveyed Minister Hakim's appreciation for the efforts of the symposium to spread awareness around the importance of the digital revolution and its impact on the economy.
Digital transformation in the fields of higher education, telecom, finance, lifestyle, internet, government, cultural heritage and the experience of non-Arab countries was presented by speakers from Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait, Canada, the UK and Italy. Successful digital transformation examples were described and debated by participants in this symposium that was sponsored by Alfa and SGBL
