A short bio
A graduate of Swiss hospitality schools (Montreux and Cesar Ritz), Mr Barakat obtained a master degree in hospitality from Derby University in the UK in 2008.
His career started in Switzerland in 2001 where he worked at the Food and Beverage Department at Mövenpick Fusterie, Geneva, Switzerland. He then worked with Noga Hilton, Geneva, Switzerland before becoming Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, Cost Controller at Institut Hôtelier César Ritz, Le Bouveret, Switzerland
His career also included senior positions at hotels and restaurants in Kuwait and Lebanon (Hard Rock Café, Grand Hotel Kadri).
Mr Barakat is currently the chair of hospitality management at AUT
