On March 6, AUT has received the visit of the IRALEB executive board led by its Chair Mr. Ziad Chammas and accompanied by the executive director Mrs. Fabienne Balaa.
More than 150 AUT students and many professors, researchers and academic executives attended the meeting.
After a short introduction by the University President, Mr. Shammas stressed on the importance of innovative projects from universities and the hope it gives for a bright future.
A Roadshow by Mrs. Balaa of the many tools developed by IRALEB to support innovative ideas and to transform a selection out of them into spin-offs followed. T
his sparked interest among AUT students and researchers who responded by asking questions about the IRALEB tools and presenting some of their innovative ideas. Mr. Chammas praised the level of interest shown.
The meeting induced discussions within the AUT community around innovation and the use of technology for a better socio-economic development.
