AUT was invited by the Beirut And Mount Lebanon Chamber of Commerce for a presentation on TECHLOG, a simulation program on road transport developed by University of Cagliari and adopted by AASTMT.
The presentation was made in presence of representatives from the EU (which is funding the project), CMA-CGM, the syndicate of maritime shipping, the National Road Safety Union, ESA, AUB, Sfax University and AASTMT.
AUT was represented by the Chair of Transport Management Dr Jamila Malti and by the VP for External Relations Marcel Hinain. The presentation was followed by a visit to the mini-lab of road safety established at the Beirut and Mount Lebanon Chamber of Commerce.
AUT has collaborated with the Beirut Chamber of Commerce and the EU on the YEP MED initiative by giving courses on transport and logistics to young people seeking employment in ports around the Mediterranean and the department of Transport Management at AUT collaborates with AASTMT and other universities on all matters related to logistics and transport.
