An memorandum of understanding was signed by AUT President, Mrs. Ghada Hinain, and Colombian Ambassador to Lebanon, Mr. Edwin Ostos Alfonso, to collaborate on the diabetes awareness campaign led by the department of Nutrition and Dietetics at AUT, for the benefit of the Colombian community in Lebanon.
The discussions that followed focused upon establishing contact with universities in Colombia specialized in water resources and the environment.
Hinain offered a cedar-wood souvenir to Ambassador Alfonso.
Glucose blood tests will be conducted at the embassy for Colombian nationals on April 26.
