A meeting was held in Prague between AUT president Ghada Hinain and SUNY-ESC new president Lisa Vollendorf on November 21, 2022.
The two leaders discussed means to increase the level of collaboration between both institutions. AUT currently runs a double degree program with ESC and talks focused on having joint faculty research and on offering certificate programs in Marketing Analytics, Healthcare Management and other subjects to professionals in Lebanon as well as a joint MBA. Hinain suggested a curse that would involve faculty and students of both universities together with the 3 other universities connected to ESC.
President Vollendorf expressed the will of her institution to find funds to assist students at AUT enrolled in the double degree programs to meet their obligations.
The meeting was held in presence of AUT VP for External Relations and was an occasion to meet the Greek, Albanian and Czech partners in education of ESC, in particular Mr Elias Foutsis, founder of University of New York in Prague and University of New York in Tirana and president of New York College in Athens.
In attendance were Ms Sheila Airdm head of European Programs at ESC and Sotiris Foutsis, GM of UNYP and deans of the three partner institutions.
