In the scope of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the International Association of Universities for the Third Age held in Toulouse. AUT President Ghada Hinain met with Université de Toulouse president Hughes Kenfack and discussed cooperation between the two institutions. President Kenfack expressed his willingness to collaborate with AUT, having been to Lebanon many times.
Hinain had given a speech at the opening ceremony of the Governing Board of AIUTA, detailing AUT’s academic philosophy and how it impacts the education of senior citizens enrolled in the AUT University for Third Age.
Delegates from 31 countries attended the 50th anniversary celebration and AUT VP Marcel Hinain attended the 112th Governing Board meeting held at the same occasion then detailed the latest about the third age program given this year at AUT and presented a gift made of cedar wood to the President of AIUTA François Vellas.
