Initiating the Advisory Boards meetings with AUT faculty, the Faculty of Business invited industry experts from the transport and logistics field for a meeting to discuss the program of Transport Management offered at AUT and suggest changes that would make the program more responsive to industry needs.
The members who attended were:
Heba Bawarshi, from Gezairi
Salma Moubayed, from The Net Global
Assad Sebaali, CEO of Aramex Lebanon
Hassan Chaaban, consultant in transport
The members who could not attend include Mohammed Itani, from Arab Maritime Association, Roger Farhat, from Malia, and Pierre Akl, from Indevco. They were sent the minutes and asked to provide their input.
The Dean of Business at AUT, Dr Pierre Al Khoury, led the meeting which was also attended by AUT VP Marcel Hinain and Associate Provost Ziad Abu Faraj. Students of Transport Management then met with the Board members to inquire about opportunities of employment and training
AUT has established an advisory board for each major, made up of industry leaders , to better adapt its programs to industry needs and to enhance the internship opportunities for its students.
