The Advisory Board for Water Resources held its first meeting on January 26, 2016.
AUT President Ghada Hinain introduced the mission of AUT and the Tripod Model that serves as its backbone. The Tripod Model links AUT to top universities (for faculty and student exchange, as well as joint research), and to the public and private sectors (for internships, employment, and awareness of public policy plans). This model is to be applied to all departments at AUT.
The inaugural session was devoted to a review of the Water Resources curriculum, in view of market needs and graduate study requirements.
The Water Resources Advisory Board includes public officials, academicians, industry leaders, and environmental experts.
