A team of 5 Nutrition students led by Chairperson Paola Labaky and faculty member Jessica Maalouf visited 4 displaced people centers in Jbeil and performed 142 tests to detect diabetes among the elderly and people at risk.
The initiative came at the request made to VP Marcel Hinain from the Jbeil municipality and was conducted in collaboration with Jbeil Universal and Kaslik Marine Lions Clubs.
The results will be communicated to each center and to the coordinator of relief action for the district of Jbeil.
