MTV Nutrition Program Hostess at AUT

Over 60 people from the community and from high schools attended a presentation on health and nutrition given at AUT on July 24 by MTV program hostess Randa Dunya Fahd who was invited by External Relations and the Nutrition department at AUT.

Fahd answered questions by the attendance about the relationship between types of food and health conditions with a focus on the necessity to adopt helathy eating habits. She tackled the various types of  nutrition adapted to children, adults, athletes, and senior citizens.

AUT Nutrition students led by chair Jessica Maalouf then performed body composition tests and provided results to the visitors. The attendees also savored healthy food prepared by AUT chefs and took home healthy food recipes.

The event is part of the AUT community service policy as stated in its mission.
