In order to help high school students understand journalism and public relations better, a workshop was organized on February 11 for high school students that focused on public speaking but also touched on journalism ethics and the means to detect fake news.
Speakers included Dr Nabela Haraty former chair of communication at LAU and TV anchor Bassam Abou Zeid.
AUT staff Aya Younes and Maroun Abboud provided the background of public speaking and body language before the guest speakers took over.
37 high school students from Jbeil and Keserwan areas attended this workshop which is the third designed for Grades 11 and 12 students to help them know more about majors and careers.
