World Water Day at AUT

Experts responded to the invitation of the Faculty of Applied Sciences at AUT to address municipal authorities and students of Water Resources on the topic of groundwater.

An exhaustive description of the groundwater situation in Lebanon was given by environmental engineer Farid Karam, while ACTED experts Abbas Abdel Sater and Ahmad Zeineddine talked about projects related to water supply and irrigation carried out in many regions of Lebanon. Fadi Kass Hanna explained the importance of GIS in managing underground water reserves. Philip Fares concluded with details related to municipal activities.

Celebration of World Water Day is an AUT tradition, interrupted only in the two-year break due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
